Not sure which of Les Doigts' records this comes off, but (the words are just brilliantly cynical):
The war on Am7 and Cmaj7 begins here ...

We stole their arrangement of "Le poinçonneur des lilas" by Gainsbourg.

Mandino Reinhardt's "Dig O Dives" which includes the wonderful traditional vocals of Sony Reinhardt, singing in Romany. Plus the guitar and violin solos and arrangement of all the tracks, are some of the best you'll hear on any recording. One of the best produced GJ recordings!

Also the Dutch group Orkest Polytour have done a few recordings, with vocals to all the standard Django recordings.

Bria Skonberg's "Fresh" is a strong debut CD, though not GJ, it shows the versatility of her vocals on different arrangements from jazz-pop-latin-rock; Bria has a great voice.

    Cheers,

    Phil

Hot Club of DC's CD is now available on Djangobooks.
There are so many of the songs we play that have lyrics... this CD has lyrics on every track.

I'm late to the discussion here but check out my album "Postcards From Tanzania" (Itunes or CDbaby)- I refer to us as a postmodern gypsyish group ;0) kind of in the style of Pink Martini with Gypsy Jazz as our primary reference. Our vocalist is the BEST in my opinion! She even got a standing ovation in the middle of a song once, so if you are looking for great vocals and crazy arrangements (Like Andrew Lloyd Webers All I Ask of You in a gypsy style with modal transposition to put the male and female lines in counterpoint) you'll like it.

I would like to add that Leah Zeger with the Gonzalo Bergara quartet adds great vocals to several songs in addition to her outstanding violin playing. Definitely a must see when they are in your area.
