Gallato Guitars

PhilPhil Portland, ORModerator Anastasio
Yesterday I had the chance to play my Gallato 452 model next to a Tchavolo Schmitt Gallato model and there was quite a difference between the two with the Tchavolo model having a deeper and richer tone to it. Any one know what the main difference is between these models? Cheers, Phil

It might be the strings. If Jason uses the DAddario Nickel and you're using Savarez lights - I checked out the specs for the DAddario... his low E string is 0.49 if he's using DAddario "Light Jazz" nickel wound. It will have several more pounds of tension than yours - which would definitely beef-up his bass response.

Sorry I don't know whether there are any structural differences between the 452 & the Angelo DeBarre models.

Anyone else know if there are any structural differences between the two models? Alain - do you still peruse the Djangobooks board?
You get one chance to enjoy this day, but if you're doing it right, that's enough.

The Schmitt model should sport a much beefier neck...
