    I remember playing your guitar. The action was reasonably high and don't you use extra heavy strings for the high e and b?

    I try to keep the action between 2-3mm (checking with a black gator at 12th fret). Yes I put a higher tension for the high E and B. Hmm, probably it exacerbate things.
    Is surgical spirit the same as rubbing alcohol? I like the superglue idea, will try that out.

    I had some surgery a couple of years ago and they used superglue instead of stitches.

    If you're worried get the medical superglue with Octyl Cyanoacrylate.
