2009 Gallato RS 1939 Angelo Debarre

This Gallato RS 1939 Angelo Debarre model is loaded with traditional Selmer features such as a walnut neck with a grafted headstock, 15 3/4" body size, 670mm scale, a spruce top, and figured Brazilian back and sides! A top mounted piezo, DR tailpiece, and Grover butter bean tuners are also included.

The tone of this instrument is quite warm, with nice midrange fullness and enough snap for good lead projection. It is fairly dry sounding, a characteristic which is unusual in this price range which tends to be dominated by very wet sounding Asian made instruments.

This instrument is in very good condition, with easy playing 2.8mm action and some moderate fretwear. There are various dings and scratches on the body but no significant structural damage. The back of the head stock has some writing on it.

It's pretty much unheard of to find flagship features like Brazilian rosewood and a grafted walnut headstock in this price range (these are specs you typically find on a Dupont Vieille Reserve or a Barault in the $7K-9K range,) making this model a fantastic value.
