Dupont Bridge

Pros: Quality, sound, appearance

I have two John Kinnard Dell Arte guitars, one 503 (bought new in 2009) and one Grande Bouche (dated 2008, acquired in 2022). Each had undergone some questionable work on the bridges (some by a previous owner and one mod by my own misguided instructions). With Michael's guidance, I bought two of the Dupont bridges available on Djangobooks. The black one matches the mustaches on the 503 and the brown one goes well with the Grande Bouche. A local luthier made the switch. I was surprised by how much more alive the guitars sounded. Thank you, Michael.

Nice item. It came to a non EU country rly fast. Im satisfied with the #0, im using it on my Maurice Dupont Nomade guitar. I will probably get one more, #1.

To anyone who has or is about to get a Gitane, YOU MUST GET THIS BRIDGE!! After i had the stock bridge taken off and the dupont fitted, it was like playing an entirely different guitar! I still can't believe how big of a difference it made! Even my local luthier (who said changing the bridge wouldn't make much of a difference) was amazing at the change in tonal quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! A MUST BUY for Gitane guitars!!

It's funny that adding one piece off of a Dupont guitar improved my guitar so much. The treble is crisper and brighter and the bass is more articulate and no longer boomy. Well worth every penny of 75 dollars.

I bought this bridge from Michael for the Joseph Di Mauro F hole guitar that he sent me not long ago. The guitar's action was much too high for me at well over 3.5mm. The Dupont #1 brought it down to a much more comfortable level, and once it was fitted to the guitar, playability was excellent, with great tone. The Dupont bridges are of very high quality, highly recommended.

Wow, the bridge upgrade really does make a difference. I had wondered about compatibility with my gypsy d-hole built by Aria but the Dupont bridge fits perfectly. It plays better, the strings gravitate to their natural inclination as this bridge has no grooves. I love thay about classical guitar and I am thrilled to have this feature on my metal stringed friend.

The rosewood Dupont bridge is an excellent alternate bridge for adjusting string height and action. I'm using one on my Dupont VRB with no issues. Nice fit and after a little sanding I lowered my action down from 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm.
