I was hoping to see a lot more footage of the band playing but most of this was documentary interspersed with moments of playing. I was looking for something that would show me some classic Gypsy style playing, and Ponticelli is a great player, but I don't reall care so much about his personal journey as I would like to see the music. Too much inbetween information and not enough playing for me.

This is a great video of Alphonso and his group. They are among the top US based GJ groups and this video shows why. Not only does he cover the usual GJ standards but he is is well versed in Hungarian and other etnic influences in the music .. a wonderful (and inexpensive ) journey

Not what I wanted...

Pros: Does allow you to see Gypsy Style

Cons: Wastes too much time telling the story
