I've played Guadalupes for 7 years at this writing. They are more expensive than other strings, but better made, and they have a much longer life than other strings. I play a lot (several nights a week,, plus regular gigs) and I change these strings only 3 or 4 times a year.

Great strings, lots of volume and tone. Like Argentines on steroids! The only backdraw is that the windings came off the g string after only a couple of days of moderate playing.

I bought a few sets of these strings as a treat for my new alta mira guitar. What a waste of money (SORRY MICHAEL)... First of all, argentines are brighter which basically discounts the main selling point of these strings. In addition, the G string went completely DEAD in 1 day, so I switched it out with the G from another set of the same 'manouche tone' strings I had bought. That G lasted about 2 days before going completely dead. Don't waste your money, stick with argentines. Cheers and sorr...
