Alternate Chord Changes in Pearl Django Play-Along

Hi,

In the intro to the Pearl Django play-along book, it says "Gypsy-style alternate chord changes have been notated" for 5 of the songs. Are the versions on the CD not comprised of voicings that are idiomatic to GJ?

Are the alternate chord changes more "authentic" to the Sinti-style?

What about the rest of the songs in the book?

Thanks!

The original Pearl Django chords are generally close to what Django played but sometimes have some slight variations. The alternate Gypsy voicings are the advanced stuff that the top Gypsy rhythm players use today.
