Pickup for electric guitar strings on Selmac

Hello, I am wondering if I want a to use a O hole pickup (Dupont stimer, peche, kleio, krivo, etc) with electric guitar strings (unwound G) should I look for one that is not balanced for the E and B of Argentines? In this case would a replica of the original Stimer work best for this purpose?
