Archtop gypsy guitar hybrid

Anyone out there familiar with these gypsy archtop hybrids?
http://www.gypsyjazzguitars.com/guitar/ ... amois.html
I saw this guitar at this site a couple of years ago and was curious....but not $3 grand curious.
Now a few have been popping up on Ebay including a mahogany model for under $500.00.
I own two archtops and I really don't need another but I still am curious. So, has anyone had an opportunity to play one? What do they sound like? What's the neck & fingerboard like?
Hope someone out there can shed some light on this.
Thanks,
randy

I tried one briefly at NAMM but that was like 3 or 4 years ago. As I recall I liked it but it was more like an archtop than a Selmer sound.

Sorry I can't say more. It was a long time ago and also there is A LOT of ambient noise at NAMM and they didn't have a sound booth so it's not the greatest situation to road test an acoustic guitar.

If you search my posts from a few years back there's info on the Draleon which I gigged with for a few years. Had a lot of set up work to do though.
