I was fortunate to study with Fapy Lafertin for a year. He is a master of the Gypsy jazz style, but also is skilled in playing straight ahead jazz, baroque, and Portuguese Fado. A transcription of the main theme to Reverie<\/i> appears in my book Unaccompanied Django <\/a>as Etude #3<\/i>.

This video displays his mastery of Django’s music.
