His music has an earthy, down home feel that many of the young,\nhighly technical players lack. He always plays with a strong and\naggressive attack and makes every note count.<br>\n<br>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"tchavolo_1.jpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.djangobooks.com\/archives\/tchavolo_1.jpeg\" width=\"74\" height=\"111\" border=\"0\" \/>\n<p>Tchavolo Schmitt is originaly from Paris and was a regular at the flea\nmarket jam scene at <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.djangobooks.com\/archives\/2004\/04\/30\/ninine_and_mondine_garcia_live_at_le_chope_paris_cherokee.html#000254\">La\nChope<\/a>. Apparently he ran into some trouble and moved to the Alsace\nregion of Eastern France. Despite his Parisian roots, he is still\nstrongly associated with the Alsace style.<br>\n<br>\nTchavolo is in top form in this live recording from 1978. He uses every\ntrick in the book to keep the audience entertained during his solo\nwhich is over a dozen choruses long.
