Fantastic picks, till recently I was using the standard Wegen Gypsy pick (3.5mm) and decided I might benefit from the slightly thinner GP250 (2.5mm). Maintains just enough thickness for powerful Le Pompe styling, whilst being thin enough for increased dexterity for single note soloing. Don't let the price turn you away!

These are the first picks I ever purchased for this style, almost 3 years ago at this point. I have used the same one for that whole time. It is showing some slight signs of where, but nothing major. I have tried other picks (vpick, gator grips, the new selmer pick), but nothing have all the great features all in one. Durability, the grip, the bevel, the nice click you get. I love them.

These picks are expensive, but when I look back at previous picks - Fender heavies and the like - I find that I went through about one a week if I didn't gig, and one a gig if I did. The heavy plastic does muffle the sound a bit, but also provides a bit more speed as it trips over the strings and doesn't catch the way other thinner, cheaper ones often did after one or two sessions. I recommend them with the reservation that if you want a sharper sound, these probably aren't the best, but you can...

Tried Gypsy jazz but my hands are lead. The thing I came away with was the Wegen GP250 picks which I now use for my electric playing. I'm addicted and can't use anything else. The grips are incredible and they made my playing more purposeful and focused. Also big on the macho factor. Always great to see the look on other player's faces when you hand one to them.

worth the price

I recommend them with the reservation that if you want a sharper sound, these probably aren't the best, but you can dig in and get a very loud sound using the Wegens whether those recommended for flat tops or the heavier Wegen for gypsy jazz guitars.
