So far my favorite pick that I've used by quite a bit. I was a little hesitant about the material, so I bought the POM version of this pick first. I liked that one well enough, but I still found that it was slipping out of my grip at times. My favorite part about this pick so far is that it really grips my fingers. I have had no issues with it rotating or slipping out of my grip, which has been a constant problem since I started playing guitar. Sound wise, this pick is also a winner. It sounds v...

This pick averages at about 2.7mm thick near the tip and is 27.5mm wide and 27.8mm long. For some reason, the bevel is different on each sides, and the material itself can sound scratchy against the wound strings when using anything other than a very heavy attack (although technique may have a big effect on this). The extra weight of this pick is something I was able to get used to very quickly, and it actually allows you to easily add more force on the downstrokes for both lead and rhythm playi...

Great Pick, I did not think I would like a metal pick, but I have to say this is one of my favourite picks. I feel confident with this pick when Iam doing fast runs. Some nice overtones you also get. I highly recommend this pick. This pick also feels good in your fingers.

I received a Niglo #4 jazz pick but returned it. The pick was extremely well made, and of the highest quality. It was highly polished and beautifully designed and made. However, as with anything, you need to feel comfortable using it. What I found was that the picking edge was just too small for my personal taste. I had to keep my right hand in very close to the strings in order to cleanly strike every note I played. This became too different from how a normal pick feels from the standpoint...

The Search Is Over

So far my favorite pick that I've used by quite a bit. I was a little hesitant about the material, so I bought the POM version of this pick first. I liked that one well enough, but I still found that it was slipping out of my grip at times. My favorite part about this pick so far is that it really grips my fingers. I have had no issues with it rotating or slipping out of my grip, which has been a constant problem since I started playing guitar. Sound wise, this pick is also a winner. It sounds very lively compared to synthetic picks and produces some really nice overtones without losing the deep resonance that you look for in gypsy jazz. This pick is also extremely loud, and I find that I can play much louder with greater ease while using it. This pick might not be for everyone, but I definitely recommend it highly, especially if you have issues with picks slipping in you hand while you play. I'll definitely have to try the other shapes when I get the chance.

Niglo Brone #4

This pick averages at about 2.7mm thick near the tip and is 27.5mm wide and 27.8mm long. For some reason, the bevel is different on each sides, and the material itself can sound scratchy against the wound strings when using anything other than a very heavy attack (although technique may have a big effect on this). The extra weight of this pick is something I was able to get used to very quickly, and it actually allows you to easily add more force on the downstrokes for both lead and rhythm playing. I would not recommend this pick as a first choice if you're just starting to experiment with different picks, but if you have some money to spare, it can be fun to experiment with.

Pros: It won't wear out, very high quality

I received a Niglo #4 jazz pick but returned it. The pick was extremely well made, and of the highest quality. It was highly polished and beautifully designed and made. However, as with anything, you need to feel comfortable using it. What I found was that the picking edge was just too small for my personal taste. I had to keep my right hand in very close to the strings in order to cleanly strike every note I played. This became too different from how a normal pick feels from the standpoint of how much picking edge is exposed in your fingers to the strings for my playing style. It was very comfortable to hold, conforming to your index finger and thumb wonderfully. The overall quality was as fine as any other hand-made product from France that I have tried. The pick looks like a piece of jewelry, and may be worn as such. The only thing I wished it had was a larger area of pick surface exposed to the string. Don't let this discourage anyone reading this from trying a Niglo pick. My personal experience may not be the same as yours. The pick is worth a try and I'm sure some may find it superb for their playing style.
