Maurice Dupont 2001 MD-50B Oval Hole Guitar (Brazilian Back and Sides and upgraded encased DM tuners
This Oval-hole Selmer copy, owned by Washington area Gypsy Jazz guitarist Josh Hegg, sports a Spruce top, laminated Brazillian Rosewood sides and back, Walnut neck and Maple binding. It features Selmer style enclosed tuning machines that bear Maurice Duponts MD logo.
From Josh:
"I purchased the guitar from Neil Andersson.
The over all tone of this instrument is very well balanced. The sustain
and overtone series is really nice and has a great, not too saturated
natural reverb. The upper notes have a clear tone while the lower notes
have just the right amount of bass to produce full sounding chords with
out being overbearing. Great snap and punch when playing lead. The
playability is amazing. Dupont knows how to build a neck for the player.
One of the most comfortable guitars I have played."
