This is the best dark sounding pick I've ever used. It doesn't sacrifice precision too much in the name of deep dark woody tone. Could become my no. 1 pick of all time. If you want to maximize the darker aspects of your guitars sound and minimize the stringy silvery aspects this is the way to do it. I put brighter strings on my guitar to comensate and have never been happier with the way it sounds

At a music camp three of us guitar geeks did a pick taste test. (The two thers were staff.) One of the staff had a Dugain. He played a Selmer D-Hole copy, i play an 18" Gibson archtop, the other was a flat top. We played various styles. The Dugain was the clear first choice for the Selmer and my guitar and the second choice for the flat top. I've played with real tortise and it's very similar.
