Just got this amp and was glad to be able to get one right away. I had a compact 60 and knew the quality was there even though it is on the pricy side. The amp is living up to expectations, too much fun and I haven't even dialed it in yet. This thing kicks ass.

One wants to hesitate on putting 5 Stars on the Value of this amplifier, but, when one considers buying TWO amps to do what this amp alone does, the value becomes obvious. First of all, the AER amps are built with uncompromised quality. If one has played the acoustic models one will find that same sturdiness and clarity as in those models. Second, the POWER in this little amp works for ANY kind of live playing, of acoustic or electric guitar. Third, with this one amp one can quickly move from a ...

AER Cheeky D

AER Cheeky D
It has been a challenge for long and so here they are: The first AER amps for electric guitar.

Solid state input-stage and tube input-stage, tube distortion,
and 200 watt high efficiency solid state power-amp. According to AER‘s sound philosophy, the cheeky d. is extremly clear, powerful and direct. It offers the sensitivity and distinction to follow the smallest changes and provide you with enormous dynamic reserves. On the contrary the d. 12“v, with its more classic approach, stays warm and smooth and has an eye for the vintage-orientated players.

For jazz, fast as hell for country-rock and fat and loud for
rock ‘n‘ roll.

Great all-around amp

Pros: Metal grill, "blackface" console, strong handle

Cons: No speaker-stand socket

One wants to hesitate on putting 5 Stars on the Value of this amplifier, but, when one considers buying TWO amps to do what this amp alone does, the value becomes obvious. First of all, the AER amps are built with uncompromised quality. If one has played the acoustic models one will find that same sturdiness and clarity as in those models. Second, the POWER in this little amp works for ANY kind of live playing, of acoustic or electric guitar. Third, with this one amp one can quickly move from a Selmer-type guitar to a Taylor ES to a Stratocaster or a standard jazz guitar with one or multiple pickups and be ready to play with a minimum of fuss, And in the studio, all the sound one can set up can be directed to a recording console or DAW through the direct-out jack or by microphone on the speaker. Quiet and powerful. I expect many years of service and fewer pieces to transport or set up.
