On which CD did Django switch from D-hole to Oval-hole?

Alright guys,

Is it possible to pen point Django's transition from the 12 fret d-hole to the 14 fret oval-hole model in the Integrale CD series?

Thanks,
Jason

I asked the same question a while ago... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4720

It appears he used a D hole up until the Integrale vol.5 (So much for the argument against short scale D holes being suited for lead)
It also looks like his first oval hole was a short scale transitional model which I believe is the one on the J'attendrai video
From 1938 he played an oval hole exclusively as far as we know.
I'm pretty sure his legendary #503 was made in 1939 or 1940
So the chronology appears to be that he tried a "modern" oval hole in mid-1937 went back to the "D" hole until early 1938, played a hybrid until 1940 whereafter he had a "standard" design oval hole!!!!! :? :? :? :?

That is a very cool thread. Thanks for filling me in and the calculation as it relates to the integrale series !
