hey folks, 3 years in the making, I had to restart three times, hopefully 3rd time's a charm... I can't accept anything less than perfect in making these

These are dedicated to my buddy Smilinjack haha

They're not fully mixed or mastered yet, but here's a preview...

unfortunately there's some digital pop in these mixdowns caused by my reverb, i'll have that fixed by the time it's released hopefully this summer...

the whole set will be made available for free, with possibility to buy them on DVD in higher quality with professional charts and descriptions of each tune (arrangements, choice of chords, etc...)

Thanks these are great! I like the tempos you took them at. One thing I'm not crazy about with the nuagesdeswing play-alongs is they're all really fast. Your versions of Jattendrai and Coquette are closer to Django's versions tempos.

same chords indeed.. i generally try to use the chords django used.. or if there;s a popular variation, i'll find some sort of balance..... for example django 's tiger... in the long E7 section, the rhythm section stayed on E7... however, nowadays because of django's original solo, must people add an F7 as well... so i recorded two versions of django's tiger

Thanks Dennis, much appreciated. These tracks are really helpful. Excellent recording and playing. Not only for practicing the lead stuff, but also in attempting to get my rhythm chops and (la pompe) in order.
