Can anyone please tell me what lick/arpeggio is being played at the 57second to 1minute mark, by Lulu Reinhardt...seems like some open string Em arp that resolves thru the A7 to D chord??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P8pn2Un ... re=related

plus anyone know what the "cliched" chord solo that is being played on this version of Lulu Swing
2:12 thru 2:29 mark?

thanks for any help

Cheers

Phil

The first on starts with a semi-chromatic run from 3rd fret on the hi E string down to low E then an ascending A7 lick that is something like:

    A Ab A, C# C C#, E Eb E, A C# E A
    triplet, triplet, triplet, eighth notes

I think the next one is similar to the chordal thing from Django's Exactly Like You recording. Just a D6 chord, E7, and some sort of A7#5.

Let me know if that is close. Hope that helps. If not, I can write it out.

No problem, Phil. That's a great tune and a fun one to work on.

Let me know if you discover anything that I had messed up.

Theres another version on Youtube by Samy Daussat that is pretty good to check out.
