Anyone Playing an Eimers?

I don't hear a lot about Eimers guitars here in the US; anyone on the list playing one, or have experience with one?

    Hi Charlie,
I played a couple at his stand in Samois last june.
They were both Antiques, oval holes and I liked them but one was way better than the other.
They had a very dry sound and nice traditional tone, you could hear the very high quality of the sound but they were kind of quiet if you ask me. Nice playability.
I later tried some AJL XO's, and I thought were much better and consistent.

    Just my limited opinion

Yeah, I wouldn't buy any guitar unless I play it in person or unless is used (at a discounted price that makes it worthwhile). I'd recommend the same to others...

If he doesn't jump in here, you might try a PM to Dennis Chang - he spent untold hours playing rhythm with Wauau Adler for the "In the Style of Wawau Adler" DVD (which is absolutely wonderful BTW). As he also now plays an AJL, he will no doubt have an opinion on their relative merits.

Leo built me a beautiful model Nympheas in 2004 and I love it!
