Hey Michael and others,

Do you usually pair this sort of turnaround chord with a non-sus V chord? Say in G, I might play:

Dsus
----
-8--
-9--
-10-
----
-10-

but lately I feel like the tension wants to resolve from the 4th to the 3rd before going back to the tonic. Ideas?

best,
Jack.

in a lot of pop songs , the sus 4 chords don't do the 4-3 resolution...

i've been turning a bunch of pop tunes into django style tunes... it really works well

    Jack,
I tend to use this as fancy damn ii5- following it with
    --------
    ---7----
    ---8----
    ---10---
    ---------
    ---10---

it's a bit of challenge to resolve, but works nicely as a cycle . . . . stolen direct from zaiti- however jobim uses this a lot, as do some modern bop guitarists (julian lange, ron jackson and so on)
    B.
