There is a version of Japanese Sandman that has a solo that rivals any he did..just stunning! I am halfway across the country right now, so not near my CD's, but when I get homne next weekend I'll try to get the particulars.
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

I would also add the solos from " Ou est-tu mon amour?" from the 1949 sessions, "Liebestraum #3", "All the things you are" from 49 is also a great one.

Hi,

that tune actually isn't Air mail Special (which has also sometimes been published on record as Good Enough to Keep), although some discographies so argue and Fremeaux them have believed. Air Mail Special is a classic Charlie Christian/Benny Goodman showcase, this tune in Integrale 19 is Jumping with symphony Sid.

Well, here's a vote for "Honeysuckle Rose", with its amazing whole-tone passages...
I live in a little tourist town called Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada, which is about twenty miles north of Niagara Falls.

If you are ever planning on visiting the beautiful Niagara area, feel free to PM me and perhaps we can get together and do some jamming.
