Came across this new (new to me) player on german Amazon.de(do a search)
Its on ARC records--a good label with excellent distribution
He sounds like a nice modern gypsy player--lots of beBop in there--with a nice touch and really solid technique.Good rhythm section as well.Listen to "Pentup house"
Just thought you'd want to know.

I just received this CD. Ismael plays both the lead guitar (on mostly acoustic, but occasionally electric, archtops) and the violin. There is a LOT of fast and furious violin playing.......

I came across a second volume of the Ismael Reinhardt CD at Borders the other day. This version (Gypsy Swing II) features Bireli on three tracks: Cherokee, You Must Believe In Spring, and My One And Only Love. Also featured is violinist Titi Winterstein on one track. Overall, the sound and playing is just like the first CD with Ismael singing on 4 tracks.
