    It's a Levin archtop; it belonged to Freddy Guy, Duke's guitarist (the photo dates from Django's US trip). For another picture, look up and to the right...

    Yeah that thumb has always disturbed me a bit. Do you think he preferred to keep the fingernails long on his right hand for lonely nights without a plectrum? :shock:

    Man, I thought I was the only person who was weirded out by that. It has obviously nothing to do with his playing and it is pretty silly to think about, but something about it always kind of got to me.

    I haven't seen any photos like you asked for; you can probably find something similar online somewhere...Levin was a Swedish (?) company if that helps...
