The annual Day of Django in Preston, Lancashire, UK has this year extended to two days. The event commemorates the opening of the first UK tour of the QHCF which took place in Lancashire in 1938. This year we have a very special line-up with the Robin Nolan Trio and special guest the one and only Jimmy Rosenberg headlining on Friday night and Romane closing the festival on Saturday night with the incomparable Daniel John Martin on violin. A special UK version of Ultrafaux completes the line-up. There will also be a workshop with Michael Joseph Harris and opportunities for jams through the day.

The festival is subsidised by Arts Council England and the University of Central Lancashire, so ticket prices are very reasonable. Preston is a very accessible city with direct train lines to Manchester Airport (45 minutes), London (2 hours), Edinburgh (2 hours) etc. and also easy to get to by car, with plenty of free weekend and evening parking near the venue.

The festival is also timed to coincide with the famous Appleby Horse Fair (4th-7th June), one of the biggest gypsy gatherings in Europe, which is about an hour's drive north of Preston. We are not in any way connected with the Fair but it's a good opportunity for those visiting us to go on and enjoy the remarkable spectacle of hundreds of gypsy caravans converging on Appleby that weekend.

Tickets for Days of Django are available right now. The tickets are £15 per concert and there is a limited run of joint tickets for only £20.
