Legrand’s “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” was the first foreign film I ever saw at age 14, and I loved it.
In fact I have a DVD of it which i still enjoy watching.
This opened up a love of French cinema which continues to this day.
I also enjoy playing Legrand’s lovely melody “I Will Wait For You”.
He was one of the good ‘uns!
I live in a little tourist town called Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada, which is about twenty miles north of Niagara Falls.
If you are ever planning on visiting the beautiful Niagara area, feel free to PM me and perhaps we can get together and do some jamming.
