Hi everybody,

Yesterday one of the last figures of the Django legend disappeared. Female singer Léo Marjane died aged 104 years! It was her who created 'Seul(e) ce soir'. She had retired from singing long ago, had married and became Baronne de Ladoucette.

Best

Sad news - a wonderful singer. Here is her recording of "Je suis seule ce soir."

There's a "Best of Leo Marjane" album available on iTunes for $10.99, with 32 songs. The first song is "La Chapelle au clair de Lune," a wonderful French adaptation of the 1936 American classic "In the Chapel In the Moonlight." Well worth a listen ( I actually like it better than the original English version, although the singer probably has a lot to do with that).

Here are two images of this great singer, many years apart.
