For sale: Saga French Manouche Gypsy Jazz Guitar (DG-100S)

I own a Saga brand French Manouche Gypsy Jazz guitar. The item number is DG-100S No. 8277. It has a solid spruce top, oval soundhole, one-piece mahogany back, sides and (14 fret) neck, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, 21 frets, long rosewood bridge, large tailpiece with wood insert, slotted headstock, 3-on-a-plate tuners. guitar is retailing for between $1000-$2000 new. This guitar was rarely used. It is in excellent condition.

I am asking for $525, if interested please send me an email at falkowskiej@gmail.com

I will also throw in a hard case with a lock and key free of charge.

This is an email response I received from the owner of Saga regarding the guitar:
>"That guitar was produced starting in 1983, so it's pretty early. The owner thinks we made about 100 to 150 of them. It was made in Japan by the factory that did some of our Kentucky mandolins of that period. The owner wrote what he wanted the label to say, then had it translated to French. The tailpiece was made by a West German company. This was a period when the yen got so strong against the dollar that prices were doubling every 6 months, and that's what killed this model ultimately. As far as I know there is no history of the company online anywhere, so I guess I'll have to write that book!!!
