For sale, hard to find DVD SWING GUITAR: THE GENIUS OF DJANGO REINHARDT. Excellent condition.
Documentary film biography with all the existing film footage of Django Reinhardt, including a complete version of Django, Stephane Grappelly and the Hot Club Quintette playing "J'Attendrai" - yes, with sound! - excerpted in the film and shown in its entirety in the bonus short "Le Jazz Hot" from 1938. Great clips of Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Louis Armstrong, Joe Venuti & Eddie Lang, too, plus an early '30s short featuring Grappelly and 14 audio clips of Django's recordings used in the film. 46 min, b/w and color.
