Krivo questions

Tele295Tele295 San Buenaventura (Latcho Drom), CA✭✭✭ Gitane DG300, D500
Just a few:

1. Is a Krivo single coil easy to take in and out, or once it's in, it should stay in?
2. Is the humbucking model no longer available? I only see the single coil at DB
3. Is it a really convincing Stimer sound without the Dupont price tag?

Thx

I have a Krivo single coil, so I'll take a stab at a couple of these:

    1) could not be easier to install and remove. Uses blue putty supplied. Once applied to the pickup, it stays there and removing the pickup is just a matter of a little twist to break the adhesion. The putty is not extraordinarily adhesive, so if you step on the cord, it will yank the pickup off, but that happens with a pickup that clips on and the results can be much uglier. I use an old plastic hotel key card to stick the pickup to between gigs, works fine. I been using the pickup for a year and never renewed the putty.

    2) no idea, Michael will likely chime in on this.

    3) the Krivo single coil is not as fat sounding a Stimer or Peche, BUT it is a good sound. Sounds more acoustic and has better string to string balance. Sounds better for rhythm as well. I had a Peche for over a year too and while I like the sound of the Peche, I find I use the Krivo more. In my estimation, if you are looking for a Stimer sound, you need to get a Stimer or a Peche. If, like me, you need a magnetic pickup to use on that 10% of gigs where a mic just isn't cutting it and you want to sound more on the acoustic side of electric, give the Krivo a try.

Currently only the single coil version is in production.
